Stars Converge for “We Are the World”

Pitching in to raise money for Haiti earthquake relief, oodles of celebrities were spotted arriving at Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood to record “We Are the World” yesterday.

In celebration of the songs’ 25th anniversary, top names from film and music gathered ‘round the mic to re-record the song originally composed by Lionel Richie and the late Michael Jackson.


Ladies like Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Brandy, Nicole Richie , Natalie Cole, Faith Evans, and Jennifer Hudson all lent their voices to the project.

Representing the fellas, Usher, Harry Connick Jr, Kanye West, Jason Mraz, Carlos Santana, Akon, Vince Vaughn, Adam Levine, and Benji Madden also showed up to contribute.
